Barnestormer Sport Fishing is a professional charter fishing service focusing on the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair, and St. Clair River. The lake and rivers consistently produce outstanding catches of Walleye, Yellow Perch, Smallmouth Bass and Muskies through our entire fishing season.
Captain Rob Barnes is USCG licensed for vessels up to 25 tons for the Great Lakes and connecting waterways. Our vessel has been Michigan DNR Inspected and is fully insured. He has been fishing Lake St. Clair, Detroit River, and the St. Clair River for over 30 years. When you fish with us you leverage this experience to help increase your success and growth on your own angling journey.
We start the season off with vertical jigging on the Detroit River then transition to open water walleye and multi- species trolling bites by June. In the summer we typically run multi species trolling trips and chase yellow perch with rod in hand techniques such as dead sticking or pitching slip floats to groups of fish found with live sonar.
We fish in comfort on a 21 foot Starcraft STX 2050 powered by Yamaha outboards along with top of the line marine electronics. In short, we have something for everyone who loves to fish. We look forward to fishing with you soon!
